THE MAN BEHIND EVERYTHING
B K Dwarakanath
Meet B K Dwarakanath, born in 1956 in a small village in Chikmagalur. Despite facing difficulties, his journey from the village to RC College in Bangalore showed his strong determination. He travelled the entire country on a bicycle and set record, and gained certificates from chief minitsers of different states which shows his daringness.
Alongside his studies, Dwarakanath and his wife, B.R. Padmavathi, started a small business called IHP Iyengar Puliogare. They offered good food at fair prices to help people facing hunger. They distribted lakhs of books of Swami Vivekananda's "Arise, awake, stop not till your goal is reached" and "Geetha Bhavadhare" by Somanathananda..
Dwarakanath cared about his village, creating jobs by building a farm in Banavara and taking care of more than 80 cows. He and his wife also built a beautiful temple called Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy.
Though Dwarakanath passed away in 2019, his wife started a trust to continue his good work. His story teaches us to keep trying, help others, and make the world better—showing that even from humble beginnings, one person's determination and kindness can leave a lasting impact.
